Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I get the most satisfaction from learning and experiencing something new each day, and the daily interaction with my co-workers.
Q: How does your job change throughout the year?
A: The biggest changes are the hours that I work during tax season. It can be very stressful from a support perspective. After tax season you get a great deal of satisfaction from the work that you have accomplished, and then a great yearning to create something new for our users to enjoy for the following year.
Q: What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
A: I enjoy playing most sports, particularly soccer. I coach at a competitive youth level and I also play in an amateur league in town.
Q: Something many people don’t know about you?
A: I can play guitar, I taught myself a few years ago but only those very close know that I can play a few stringed instruments. Also, that I have been secretly in love with Kathy Ireland since I was 6 years old.

Meet The Team: Sachin Patel
Name: Sachin Patel
Title: Software Developer

Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Work ethic, determination and skill level of my co-workers.
Q: How does your job change throughout the year?
A: Tax Season can be a nervy blur in terms of the amount of time spent at the office. However, off season is where I feel I work harder in terms of producing quality, well planned, and efficient software.
Q: What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
A: I coach youth soccer at a competitive level so that would be my main passion. I also enjoy most activities that involve interacting with family and friends.
Q: Something many people don’t know about you?
A: I grew up following underground UK House & Garage music. It’s a specific mix of music originated in South London, UK and encompasses a heavy base line, quick tempo and usually is a mix of 1-3 genres of music. I still listen to this music time to time.

Meet The Team: Mary Koschene
Name: Mary Koschene Title: Assistant Supervisor Years with TaxSlayer: 4 years Q: What do you like most about your job? A: The challenge of tax season. I enjoy assisting people with their tax needs and concerns. It is rewarding to know that I help produce a quality product. Q: How does your job change throughout the year? A: During the tax season, I am busy assisting the support staff with customer service needs as well as continually testing the program with any new updates that are required. During the off season things slow down (just a little) and I can concentrate on next year’s program. Q: What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? A: My favorite thing to do is to curl up on my front porch and read a good book. I also enjoy going to the lake and wakeboarding. Q: Something many people don’t know about you? A: I have an adventurous side. I love to try new things but I don’t think that I would ever go bungee jumping or jump out of a perfectly good airplane. :)

Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I enjoy working beside my talented team in developing exciting new features and tools for TaxSlayer.com.
Q: How does your job change throughout the year?
A: During the off season the pace of my job is much slower. During tax season we go into maintenance and improving the software.
Q: What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
A: Spending time with my wonderful family, golf, tennis and I cannot lie, playing a little Xbox.
Q: Something many people don’t know about you?
A: I was blessed by winning a new Camaro. I then paid it forward by donating my current SUV to a church outreach program.
