How can I check the status of my state refund?

Generally, states take longer to process returns than the IRS.  There is not a standard timeline for when your refund will be issued to you.  To find out when your state plans to issue your refund, you would need to contact them directly.

Most states have a feature on their website that will let you automatically check the status of your refund.  If not, they should have an automated phone line that you can call to.  To locate your state's Where's My Refund? feature, click here.
