What if I currently have a foreign address?

To file electronically, the IRS requires a stateside address.  In order to prepare your return and e-file, you must list an address in the United States.  If the only address that you are able to list is a foreign address, you will not be able to file electronically.  You would need to obtain tax forms and file a paper return by mail.
