Reject Codes 0500 & 0522 together LEGACY

If you received both reject codes together, this generally means that the primary Social Security Number was entered incorrectly.

To correct these reject codes: Verify that the correct primary Social Security Number, date of birth, and last name were entered within your account. To do this, login to your account at and click Access Return and then Edit Return to enter the tax program. From the "Main Menu", select Personal Information >> Basic Information. Here you can verify that the information is entered correctly. If the last name, date of birth, or primary SSN was entered incorrectly, you can make the necessary corrections. Be sure, once the corrections are made, that you click Continue and resubmit your return through the Send Return Electronically menu.

All information appears to be correct: If it appears that the name, date of birth, and SSN are all entered correctly, you will need to check with your local Social Security Administration office and make sure their records have the correct information on file.
