Makes Its Ryder Cup Debut

Ok, ok so we’re not technically playing but our very own Patrick Reed is. He, along with 15 others, have been selected to represent Team USA in the 2014 Ryder Cup. The event will take place this Friday, September 23, at the Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland. had a few things to say about Patrick Reed and the typical impact of rookies on the Ryder Cup outcome: “The 2014 Ryder Cup has the lowest number of rookie players – on both the United States and European teams since there were just five in 1985. But once again the newcomers are expected to play a huge role in the Ryder Cup, which begins on Friday at Gleneagles.”

This year, each of the two teams has added three rookies to the roster. “The young players, they always bring energy,” U.S. Captain Tom Watson said. “They bring the energy of the youth. They are getting their feet wet.
