Veterans can enjoy free doughnuts, pizza and more

This article was last edited on Nov. 30, 2015.

Veterans Day is Wednesday, Nov. 11. Many restaurants, barber shops, car washes, and other services will salute the nation’s military with free meals, haircuts and other deals.

Most of the deals require proof of service such as a military ID card, VA ID card or veteran’s organization card. Some stores extend offers to active-duty service members and their families while others limit the freebies to retired veterans. Check with the location nearest you to see if they are participating.

We’d like to offer a big ‘thank you’ to all military members and their families. We have compiled a list of just a few Veterans Day offers.

Krispy Kreme: free doughnut and small coffee

Applebee’s: free meal from a limited menu selection

California Pizza Kitchen: free pizza, salad or pasta from a limited menu
