Watch the transformation of Regan Smith’s No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro from a blank slate to a fresh TaxSlayer Bowl paint scheme in 90 seconds. In this time-lapsed video, Regan’s car gets a new look that debuts Saturday at the Xfinity Series at Darlington Raceway.
When Regan gets behind the wheel of the TaxSlayer Bowl car for the first race, college football teams across the nation will be taking to the field for opening weekend of the 2015 season. With the No. 7 paint scheme, TaxSlayer.com brings together fans of two long-standing sport traditions.
“Combining the fast and furious world of NASCAR Xfinity Series racing with the passion and excitement of college football’s opening weekend is fantastic, and I’m proud to be behind the wheel of the TaxSlayer Bowl Chevrolet this weekend,” said Regan. “Putting this car on the track at Darlington Raceway on its traditional Labor Day weekend slot at the same time the college football season opens is quite the combination.”
Saturday’s Xfinity Series VFW Sports Clips Help a Hero 200 airs on NBC at 3:30 p.m. on the east coast.
Following the Darlington race, Regan will also drive the TaxSlayer Bowl car in three races at Richmond International, Chicagoland and Kentucky speedways.
The TaxSlayer Bowl kicks off Jan. 2, 2016 at noon on ESPN. A team from the Southeastern Conference will face an opponent from the Big Ten Conference, Atlantic Coast Conference or Notre Dame at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. TaxSlayer Bowl tickets are available at TaxSlayerBowl.com.
Don’t forget to sign up for the TaxSlayer Bowl Pick ‘Em contest to see if you can pick the winners of college football matchups better than Regan and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Weekly prizes will be awarded as well as two grand prizes in December: a trip for two to the 2016 TaxSlayer Bowl and a $2,500 cash prize.
