Personal Exemption(s) - $4,000

 

IF THE TAXPAYER OR SPOUSE IS LEGALLY BLIND AND/OR BORN BEFORE JANUARY 2, 1950, THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONS ARE ADDED TO THE STANDARD DEDUCTION FOR EACH OCCURRENCE:

* $1,250 FOR MARRIED FILING JOINTLY OR SEPARATELY AND QUALIFYING WIDOW FILERS

* $1,550 FOR SINGLE AND HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD FILERS

 

*THIS ADDITIONAL AMOUNT IS NOT AVAILABLE IF THE TAXPAYERS ITEMIZE THEIR DEDUCTIONS
